KWCI tiger research boosted by EAZA / IUCN SSC funding

The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland was awarded €20,000 by the EAZA (European Association of Zoo and Aquaria)/ IUCN SSC to support KWCI tiger surveys and protection. The funds will buy additional camera traps for identifying areas where tigers are present and provide data on their movements and reproductive condition. In addition, tiger occupied areas will have increased protection from the Karen Forestry Division Wildlife Protection Units.
